erie_patsellis
I'm moving to Fond Du Lac, WI in the very near future and am looking for both a decent lab that can process 120 C41, possibly E6 and somewhere to get chemistry. Are there any real photo stores left in that area, or am I destined to drive to Chicago? erie
carl_klitzke
I live near Appleton, which is ~30 miles north of Fond Du Lac. Image Pros (www.imageprosofwisconsin.com) in Oshkosh does 120/220 C41 films. I have seen their stuff, and it comes out pretty well. Phopar up in Appleton will do 120/220 work in C41, E6, and B&W Chemistry. It is also worth noting (I think) that Phopar is a PMA "Expert" digital lab. I have done some b&w stuff there in the past and they did a great job. As for labs south of Fond du Lac, I am sure there will at least be some decent places in Milwaukee or Madison. jeff_drew4
In Milwaukee - Art's Camera does it all! Mike Crivello's Camera is fine, and there are several commercial/pro processors including a pro-level, Kodak Lab as http://www.apollo-imagizing.com/. Apollo does a fine job via mail for most processing. Art's does all types and carries some chemistries. All 3 places above have friendly & helpful staff . . . not the cheapest places but if you want service, then step-up & pay for it.
erie_patsellis
exactly why I've been driving 2 hours to Peoria to buy chemistry from one of the few mom and pop stores left. I don't mind paying to keep them afloat, I just hate going to a store that has nothing. erie
alan_currie
Erie, I can also give a thumbs up to Apollo in Milwaukee. They "dip and dunk" the negs, at least the last time I checked. Go Packers!
terry_mcglone
erie, If you're still--a year later--looking for a lab, Pechman Color Labs on Second St in Kaukauna does all sorts of processing and printing, particularly for the portrait studio/HS seniors market. And I can also recommend Phopar in Appleton.
