First run on Jobo CPP-2 at master bath room

Much nicer tone than any lab I tried outside. I need find a place at

home to set it up more permantly. (Now 90% of the time I do is set up

and clean up (and hiding things, cleaning traces). Any idea to share.

 

I wonder a why some of the picture in the same roll have "golf ball"

grain and others just very very fine grain? SAME ROLL ?!

Variations in exposure can make grain more apparent. Are you scanning your negatives? That will tend to exaggerate the grain. The sample photo you posted (I looked at both) doesn't look bad at all.

I don`t see much advantage in the Jobo for black and white developing. Mine is used for 4x5 color neg and large color prints too big for the 11x14 Nova.

 

A small tank does just as well and is easier to set up and hide.

I use CPP-2 with lift to devlope film and 20x24 paper. Love it. However, you need to practice with it and experiment until you become familiar with the way it works best. Use as a starting point the instructions that come with the film and add about 20% in developer time. Be sure to put enough fluid in the cylinder each time. A little too much is better than too little. Also, make sure the water bath is 20 degrees and all chemicals are too.
