simon_benton
Just to share my experience with outdated APX100 8X10. From the auction site I purchased 2 boxes of APX100 with a use before date of July 1992. The seller told me it had been stored in a refrigerator all its life but I purchased it mainly to check for light leaks and to experiment. I finally got around to using it and was amazed with the results. I could tell no difference from negatives produced with fresh film. I exposed normally and tray developed with continuous agitation in HC-110 at dilution B for 7 minutes. Sparkling negatives with no sign of fog - amazing for film over 14 years past its expiry date. larrydressler
Ya it is a pretty darn good film I had a 100 foot long roll that expired in 98 that looked just as good with that nice cream tone as the newest roll I got. If you like it in HC-110 try it in Rodinal 1-50 or 1-100 Larry
mb81
Simon, Black and white film will last a very long time if kept in "normal" conditions. Below is a link to at photo that I shot on 10 year expired kodak HIE in 4x5. the results were beautiful. The only problem was, when enlarges to 16x20 you can see some pinholes.
