TMax 100 Pushed. Times please

Hi, im wanting to push TMax100 to 400. However, i only have rodinal

and ilfosol at my disposal to develop it.

 

Any suggestions for times and concentrations?

 

Also, i was thinking of water bathing it, will this help as its a

t-grain film?

Surely there must be another way. Im trying to save pennies as i need to replace my stolen mobike and im a student.

You really can't get there with those developers. They're both speed losing developers. D-76 is really really cheap. The gallon is a slightly higher cash outlay, but a better deal, but a quart is less than a beer.

I searched high and low for you. As mentioned above the big problem is both the developers you have are pretty much speed losers. Some diafine or d-76 would be much better choices. If you must and these shots are not critical I would use the rodinal and add 25-45% development time say 1+50 for 18-20 min. 2 stops is going to be hard to pull off. If they are printable you could always use contrast filters to adjust. Good luck.

Along with diluting Rodinal more rather than less, you'll probably want to use decreased agitation. If you can get out to 1+100 and do 10s of agitation every 3-5 minutes, you might be able to get close to something usable.
