james mitchell dc
Al called to say that he survived the hurricane, which came directly over his house. But he has no electricity to resume life on the Forum. Hopefully he has enough light to shoot with his revived CL.
Alex_Es
Hi James! Please give Al my very best.
jtk
Of course he survived. Mere hurricane. Probably got him fired up about 15mm all over again.
john_fleetwood
Al's house is on high ground, and was built back when wood was wood.
michael s.
Al's a rustic, old school kind of a guy. He leads an ascetic lifestyle. This is the first I've heard that Al even *had* electricity. -:) Hey, AL - In case someone in your Starbucks gang has a wifi hook-up and you see this thread, I'm glad you're okay. gerry_szarek
Al needs to buy a generator and a satellite phone.
steve_york1
It was barely a Cat. 1. Now those folks in the panhandle will have something to worry about come Monday.
bill_e_gote
Here it comes - a 15mm shot of Al getting sucked out a window head first.
pensacolaphoto
I'm glad that Al is OK. I am worried for my family. Hopefully, we will not get another hurricane in Pensacola. It si too tiring to keep on leaving the area and then return afterwards. This time, I will stick it out here.
ben z
Al's got a battery-free M2 and a Weston Master meter, he don't need no stinkin' electricity : )
james mitchell dc
Michael, the N. Miami Starbucks that he goes to does have a WiFi connection, but unless it works with the plate in Al's head, he ain't gonna be usin' it. He just souped some 15mm pics from my visit to that Starbucks, but when he lost power he couldn't print and send them up here. There's a few of Al, my girlfriend, me and some city councilman who's younger than any of us.
james mitchell dc
Hey, Alex! I'm going to Japan and Korea next spring. Let me know if you will be around in late March or April. I'll fly into Narita, but will travel around a lot.

Allen Herbert
l called to say that he survived the hurricane, Actually, his face was removed during the hurricane, he was trying to lift his head above it so he could have a smoke....how bad is that...the smoke. Brad Pitt was trying to do the same thing while putting his makeup on. Somehow they changed boat races (faces), interesting.

Jerry_
...that storm is (maybe - maybe not) heading to the Pensacola area next. Good to hear that Al did OK but the 'discount' electric power company is going to be busy in his area for a few days.

ky2
Q: Was there ever a hurricane named "Al" ?
pensacolaphoto
I thought they only name hurricanes after nasty people. Since Al is a very nice huy, there shall be no hurricane named after him. Maybe, a Panda baby will be named Al!
Rob F.
Saotome Genma is obviously Frank. What an inappropriate message.

al_kaplan1
I'm back, but after well over 24 hours without my fix from Starbucks I'll never be normal again! So far 3 post hurricane doses haven't been enough.
