brambor
Can anyone beg Leica for me and tell them that on August 15, I'm going to hike the Wyoming wilderness for straight 10 days and it would be the perfect PR to test their M8. I'll even carry solar recharger with me. I'll do that for Leica. Honest. ;-)

vinay_patel
Rene, if you want to be a beta tester you'll have to wait till October and buy one like the rest of us.
david_l3
What if it's much much better than your M3? Woud you dare tell us on the Leica Forum? Would an M8 make those wild trout look bigger with a 1.3 crop factor? Post your pics and brag about the trip (and the fish) - whether or not you use an M8. brambor
The M3 is ideal for the trip. No battery needed, small size. Fits perfectly into my sternum pack so that I reach in during my hike for shots without losing much stride or taking off my backpack. M8 would be interesting to take along just because [iNSERT SELFISH EXCUSE HERE] ;-)

SolaresLarrave
I'd ask... All you can hear from them is "No, thanks, but no". But then, there's always the chance they said yes...
Allen Herbert
Rene you do some very nice stuff and join in with the photo posting. If i was one of the Leica dudes, well,i would chose you for honest credibility. Of course they will choose(some so called) names and fill their pockets full of money. They will never have posted before but will be full of hype, brimstone and fire. Sort of telling everyone what to think because they are very clever. andrew robertson
Of course, the first user tests of the M8 will be like the first tests of a jet airplane! Anchored to a fixed point in a closed location.
