jose_francisco
I use APX100 as 100 asa film (developing in Rodinal 1:50 or D76 1:1), but I would like to try Delta100. So which developer do you use? Which is the best developer for this film? Developing times? I enlarger in LPL7700VCCE. Thanks.
ronald_moravec1
Delta 100 looks similar to APX 100 if both are developed in Rodinal except Delta has finer grain. My experiments were at 1:50 dilution.
stephen sullivan
Give Xtol stock and or Xtol 1:1 a try.
rich815
Why is it you are attracted to Delta 100? Good film for sure. Consider trying Fuji Acros 100 too, another good one. Either will be less grainy than APX100.
bernard_frank
I've had nice results with Delta 100 and Ilford's DD-X.
kaiyen
What are you trying to go for? Sharpness? Low grain? Speed? Highlight control? allan
russ_butner___portland__or
My lab soups my Delta 100 in X-Tol, and with great results. Considerably better than Agfa 100 and T-Max 100. Also, the Fuji ACROS is quite good. Russ
melvin_bramley
I have used D100 for some time & like the results when processed in XTOL @ 1:1. For "my" enlarger & thermometer I find I have to overdevelop. I use the EI 200 times instead of the 100 times. The same goes for D400.
russ_butner___portland__or
I burn my Delta 100, @ 80. Russ
chris_waller
I rate Delta 100 at 50 ASA and dev in Rodinal 1:50, 20 C, 8 minutes. That's for a diffuser head enlarger.<div></div>
rich_ullsmith1
Agree with the ISO50 or 80 with this film, unless you have a compensating developer, maybe Xtol or Perceptol. I think you can do no wrong by sticking with your Rodinal 1+50, Chris times above, or the D-76 (stock). With these two developers you can pull just about whatever you want out of this film. craig_h1
Right now, I.ve been using D-76 stock. But I've run out of my stock of Kodak chemicals & since they will no longer make b&w paper, I will not longer use any of their products,
gan_esh
Ilford Delta 100 is probably my favourite B&W medium speed film (also like fp4+). Delta 100 works well with Ildord DD-X , ID 11 and Perceptol. You can get dev times (pdf) from Ilford's website. You can also try this formula. (my darkroom teacher gave it to me a few years back.) FORMULAE (for 500ml dev tank / 35mm film) Xtol = 100 ml H2O = 400ml Rodinal Concentrate = 4 to 5 ml. Develope Delta 100 for 10.5 - 11 minutes at 24 deg celsius. You can try lower temperatures (22 deg/ 12-13 min) but I'm more comfortable with the times for 24 deg. Results (personal opinion) = not as grainy as Rodinal and not as 'flat' as Xtol. Great detail in shadows. If you do try it, e-mail me and let me know how your final prints turned out. Cheers!

mb81
Delta 100 is Ilfords version of T-Max 100. This stuff has in my eyes the finest grain of any 100ISO film. Ilford D-11 is again, Ilfords version of Kodak D-76. The development times for both are identical in all situations. This stuff is great, a bit expensive, but good. I shoot it in 8x10. The combo of shooting 8x10 and using this film is incredible.
