Renato Tonelli
The Ilfochrome Paper box a starting Filter Pack (eg. 30Y 20M). The old Cibachrome Manual lists starting filter packs for the different (emulsion) films. How do I reconcile the two different filter packs: should I start with the suggested filter pack listed on the box of paper or the one listed in the old manual? Is there some kind of formula to reconcile the two.The manual also suggests using an UV filter - is it necessary if I am using a Color Head (Durst 501)?Are the filters they list compatible with the Durst Nos. or do I need to adjust them to a higher/lower value? And finally, I'm having trouble "burning in" (less exposure for Ilfochrome) the sky so that it will print bluer.Any suggestions will be appreciated. The Ilford site offers no help. Thank you.
larrydressler
Did you try to write to Ilford? just a thought. Larry
g._armour_van_horn
If you have filter values for the current film that you are going to actually be using, why would you want to reconcile those values with an old manual for a different product? Renato Tonelli
I should have explained myself better. The paper boxes no longer have filter values for the different film emulsions. They just have one filter value without specifying for which emulsion it is suitable.
