harrisonp
I loaded my Canon AE-1 with Agfa APX 400-36 film. I've been shooting the rolland about midway I started to notice that when I advanced the film that theopposite winding wheel would not turn in conjunction with the advance. Though itdoes turn freely when cocked. Did the film come undone? Although, it does turnevery couple of pictures... I am not quite sure what is going on... frank.schifano
It's nothing more than some slack in the cartridge. Don't worry about it. It's normal.
lex_jenkins
All rollfilms tend to develop a set curl when rolled into a cassette. Some films are worse at this than others and the longer they are in the cassette the more likely they are to develop a stubborn curl. Unless I'm shooting action using a motordrive, periodically I'll genly turn the rewind knob to snug up the film and minimize the slack. I also want the reassurance that there actually is film loaded. a. simpson
Hi, Harrison! My AE-1 does exactly the same thing. My pictures come out ok, so it must be normal. -Allenda
