Loading my AE-1

I loaded my Canon AE-1 with Agfa APX 400-36 film. I've been shooting the roll

and about midway I started to notice that when I advanced the film that the

opposite winding wheel would not turn in conjunction with the advance. Though it

does turn freely when cocked. Did the film come undone? Although, it does turn

every couple of pictures... I am not quite sure what is going on...

All rollfilms tend to develop a set curl when rolled into a cassette. Some films are worse at this than others and the longer they are in the cassette the more likely they are to develop a stubborn curl.

Unless I'm shooting action using a motordrive, periodically I'll genly turn the rewind knob to snug up the film and minimize the slack. I also want the reassurance that there actually is film loaded.
