Photoshop Camera Raw

Recommended Posts

What's up with the Photoshop Camera Raw? I open my 20D and 30D RAW images

with Canon's DPP with good results and process them in DxO Optics with good

results. I open the same file in Photoshop using the Camera RAW plug-in and

the image looks noisy. It is like it introduces noise. The colors look OK

but when I zoom in even a little bit I notice "noise" color specs. Is Camera

RAW not as good as the others? It would seem that CS2 with Camera RAW would

be cleaner than the others. Any ideas? It seems to happen regardless of

settings (shutter speed, ISO, aperture, etc.).

I tried all of the adjustments. I tried changing the color space options. The images can be ISO 100 and look like I shot ISO 1600. It's wierd if you ask me. Normally I use DxO Optics but wanted the better lighting control of Photoshop. It all ends up there anyways. I noticed the noise on some side by side comparisons. I'm sorry I don't have any to attach as I am at work. I have been converting them in DxO and post processing the jpegs in CS2 to avoid the noise.
