alicia_fedele
I had a engagement shoot today, with fire trucks the truck was soclean, that when I review the shots when i got home, the flash"sparkled" in the door of the truck. Is there anything you can do about that -- or is a little creativityin photoshop in order? I didn't even think about it as I was busy shooting some great shots! beauh44
Hi Alicia, I'm not sure it would've helped a flash "sparkle" but generally a polarizer can help cut down on reflections. It can make the colors pop a little better too. Good luck!
RobertChura
The sparkle of course is from your flash which is a tiny point of light. If you used a larger light source the sparkle would be diminished. If you took the time to have someone hold up a white sheet and shot the flash through that you will get better results. <p>I handmade a stand from pvc pipe that holds a 4 by 8 sheet of white ripstop nylon for me and I use a flash on a stand shooting through the fabric. It is cumbersome but effective. Photoshop works but not as well as getting the image right on the film/card.
andrew robertson
If you put a polarizer in front of the flash, and another in front of the lens, and align them properly, there won't be any specular reflections at all.
