absinthe
Can you find a liquid emultion that will adhere to anything? Like slate or something? Is it hard to work with?
art_haykin
I would write to the various makers of liquid emulsions for data. They can be used on many surfaces, but some require special preparation called "subbing." The degree of difficulty will depend on your understanding of the process and your dedication. absinthe
Pierre,
Thanks for the link of the works on slate. I am looking to do something similar. Also sailcloth. And some on canvas & paper. I like the texture of the liquid emultion portraits I have seen & would like to give it a try. I have basic darkroom experience & this will be something rather foreign to me.
absinthe
One other thing...
I am probably stretching it here, but does anyone know if the rent-a-darkroom shops in NYC allow such a thing? (I can always call them & ask, but just want to know if anyone here has done liquid emulsion work in such a place)
colmmccarthy
I would recommend Luminos Silverprint vc emulsion over the Liquid Light product. It's a much faster emulsion, more reliable and easier to work with, in my opinion.
