mattvardy
God bless you Sandy, for your kindness and your genuinely generous efforts, I hope all your efforts give way to success. Im glad you have the right outlook on life. I love photo.net; its services and staff. I would love to be able to say count me in, infact I feel guilty not being a patron, and now seems like the best time to do it. But Im 16 years old, no credit cards, and PayPal is probably not a good idea, or maybe even impossible. What do you sugeest I do? In addition, I would like to throw out a question (and please, I mean no harm). This drive along with others, will indeed accumulate (already has) more money for photo.net which will allow photo.net to upgrade, therefore increase capacity. But doesnt that just lead to more general problems? More capacity; more use; problems occur need more money all over again possibly making you feel as if your efforts and money were wasted because were back to zero again? Maybe a limit on the number of subscribers in some way would be best, or something along those lines to end the presumable never-ending, never fulfilling 'drive'? Please correct me if Im wrong. All the best in 2004!

kevinconnery
Bravo! I've been a visitor for a while, but never "got around" to subscribing. Decided to take advantage of your generosity, and went for a 3 year sub--I have having to renew stuff, and I've definitely spent my share of time here. joaquin
Add one more! I'd like to thank Sandy for the generous offer. OTOH I think it's fair to compensate PN for the big benefits that we photo-lovers (or photo-freaks?) receive. Long life to PN Quino
www.whitemountainphoto.com
Thanks to you Sandy, for obviously raising some significant funds for this site. This site and it's patrons have been absolutely invaluable to me the past year, and I appreciate being able to continue to have this terrific resource available. I would like to add another year to my current subscription. Like some others here, I do not have access to Paypal and would be happy to send a check or charge my credit card. The moderators might want to consider adding this info somewhere readily visible in this thread? The best to you all in 2004...many terrific pictures! hugh_hill
Sandy & Bob, I wish to commend you both and wish you a very happy new year. I am a disabled Artist/Teacher working for two and soon to be three different art charities specialising with disabled artists and those on low or no income. I provide I.T training, and basic photography emphasizing on digital/graphic design. I joined PN in the April of 2004 at which time I could not afford to subscribe (although I have actively promoted your site at all opportunities with recommendations & praise.) as my work as a teacher is unpaid and every piece of equipment in the digital/photographic Studio has been accumulated by my own means I was unable to join due to no finances, however, it is now two years since I have been here it is only right that I pay for such a wonderful service but still unsure to which is the best way to go about sending my money, is it possible to have more information about sending it by credit card through 'PAYPAL' (I cannot afford to lose the money through sending it to the wrong channels so wish to get it right.) Once again thank you for enriching my life with such an excellent service. Hugh Hill

erin_____grasshopper__rice
That's a good point to make, Steve- however you must keep in mind that A. If you don't know Sandy you can't make any judgments about him. Sandy could be an alias for Bill Gates, who donates something like millions of dollars a year to causes and charities.. and 2. Even if you're convinced you are right and he is wrong, you can't spend his money for him. and 3. A persons morals and responsibilities are his and his alone ( for the most part) you can't force someone to share your ideas of what is right or wrong. (generally speaking, of course). And what if Sandy said that you were right and instead of giving an extra 6 months to subscribers, he donated all that money to charity in Pn's name? Which charity would be the right one? The most deserving? An earthquake in Iran, a mud slide in California, AIDS in Africa? Shall we flip a coin? I think Sandy has made an generous offer to one place that is valuable to many people. It may not be a disaster stricken country, or the Salvation Army... but it's a place that is of value to people. Hobby or not.
david_wilson7
I just signed up for one year/18 months. This site has been very helpful, with its wealth of info, and has helped me find some bargains on equipment, as well. So, when I saw this sign up drive, I thought "Hey, another bargain!" Thanks, Sadny, for your generous matching of funds.
