I'm unable to move the lever, though it appears to be in the "unlocked" position. It may well be impossible to fit the mount to the lens with the lever stuck. -

I have a couple of Tamron Adaptall II Canon FD mounts that I use regularly on the FD cameras. I recently picked up a Tamron Adaptall II 28-50mm f/3.5-4.5 lens with a FD mount attached. However, the mount took some effort to remove from the lens and a close inspection revealed that it differs from the Adaptall II mount I'm accustomed to. It's very reluctant to mount on the Adaptall II lenses and when mounted prevents the aperture rings from rotating. It also has a little lever on the camera side of the mount that appears to be a lock of some sort, but this is immovable. Below is a pic of the two mounts side by side, the one I'm familiar with on the left and the newcomer on the right. Despite an extensive search on the net I can't find a reference to this configuration. I'd like to hear from any member who is familiar with the mount and can offer some advice for its operation. -
