john_shriver
See page: http://www.photo.net/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg?msg_id=00JhTK I pasted in a string with a Unicode character (in "Chateau", but with the proper diacritical), on Windows 2000, Firefox 2.0. The string got garbled in the text of the submission. But it came out fine in the caption on the photograph. (Consistency, the hobgoblin of little minds and programmers.) bobatkins
Yes, there's a problem and it's been around for a long time. However I don't think anyone will be looking at it until the new software is installed (any day now), since there's aways a chance that it will be fixed by the update! pmj
It is interesting to see a difference between the text of the posting and the caption of an attachment. If the ACS 3.4 software does not "automatically" solve this issue, at least we can (then) check what the difference is between those fields, their database columns etc.
bobatkins
Patrick - just FYI there's also sometimes a difference between the view in the user interface and the view in the admin interface!
