Price of the Pentax K2-DMD when new (1975)

<p>Does anybody know the price of a new Pentax K2DMD back when it was introduced? I believe it's 1975. Thanks.</p>

<p>In the above link to Popular Photography, July 1981, Cambridge Camera Exchange has that Pentax for US$349, body only.</p>

<p>Thanks It must have been more in 75 when it was introduced. I remembered that the standard K2 was over $300 body only.</p>

<p>FWIW, I got my K1000 in 1980, new, for $165 in Boston area.</p>

<p>Just a note, according to the CPI calculator $566.50 in 1976 = $2,402.93 in 2016!</p>

<p>Yup! I asked for the price because in the other forum someone said the DSLR's are too expensive and in the old days they can have the K2DMD for $150. I didn't think so because in 1976 I knew the K2 was more than $300. I was shopping for my first camera then. If someone could afford the K2DMD in 76 they should be able to afford decent DSLR today.</p>
