bebu_lamar
Does anybody know the price of a new Pentax K2DMD back when it was introduced? I believe it's 1975. Thanks.

bebu_lamar
Thanks It must have been more in 75 when it was introduced. I remembered that the standard K2 was over $300 body only.

Julio Fernandez
FWIW, I got my K1000 in 1980, new, for $165 in Boston area.
jim_momary
Just a note, according to the CPI calculator $566.50 in 1976 = $2,402.93 in 2016!
bebu_lamar
Yup! I asked for the price because in the other forum someone said the DSLR's are too expensive and in the old days they can have the K2DMD for $150. I didn't think so because in 1976 I knew the K2 was more than $300. I was shopping for my first camera then. If someone could afford the K2DMD in 76 they should be able to afford decent DSLR today.
