  1. Important: please keep your image under 700 pixels on the longest side for in-line viewing, and please keep the FILE SIZE UNDER 300kb. Note that this includes photos hosted off-site (at Flickr, Photobucket, your own site, etc).

Are you new to this thread? The general guidelines for these Wednesday threads are right here: This forum's moderators are allowing up to three images per week, so share some work!
I didn't see a new thread for today, so I will go ahead and start one. :)
Fenris loves to fetch sticks, but they apparently make him violent. His favorite post-fetch activity is to shred them with his teeth. Here he is, caught in the act.
  2. Yup! Events conspired, mistakes were made, opportunities were lost ... didn't get a chance until just now to turn my attention to it. So just as well! I always try to launch this thread around midnight eastern time, but there have been some times when it just can't happen. Thanks, Patrick.
  3. Out in my favorite woods last week
  4. The tree that refuses to fall down!
  5. My granddaughter Iris when out at her great grandmother's house for Mother's Day
  6. Lots of horses grazing among millions of buttercups where the mighty Susquehanna River roams through pastoral Pennsylvania.
  7. Our two year old Petey can also be ferocious when it comes to play time with his "toys", in this case a section of his bedding blanket that he ripped apart.
  8. Please remove this duplicate post.
  9. NYC hosted the America's Cup over the weekend in NY Harbor. Team USA is flying one of these carbon fiber wonders up the Hudson.
  10. Hi,
this week I can contribute two photos of an orchid. Made with D300s and 105mm macro wide open.
Empty space was cropped out - sometimes I just like the square format (or 4 x5) ;-)
Hope you like the photos. Regards, Miha.
  11. Another one.
  12. Sort of a aerial view...
  13. May flowers.
  14. [IMG]St. Lawrence river in parc St.Catherine QC. I choose a slightly higher shutter speed to get less of a silky look.
  15. Some 6400 ISO pictures taken on saturday evening with D750 + 24-70 at F 2,8
  16. The light was not to my liking, but.... The planes were taken from appx 5-6 miles away and cropped quite heavily. All taken with D610 and 200-500mm.
  17. ...
  18. System would not allow me to post the 3rd photo!?!?!?!
  19. Swamp creatures....
  20. Getting down to macro level this week, diffraction be damned.
  21. Getting a bit more macro yet, this poor flower is getting a little shopworn.
  22. And finally a tiny little flower that turns up in the lawn, creeping ivy.
  23. Infrared, local park
  24. Sunrise on Mother's Day
  25. Ray House

    Ray House Ray House

Going through some old Velvia chromes from my film days...

Leszek, I don't think's host counts how many images you have posted to a thread. Please feel free to try again.
3 per member per week is merely a rule for self regulation such that nobody dominates any particular Wednesday image thread.
Patrick S, thanks for starting the thread when Matt wasn't available. I went to bed and by the time I noticed that Matt hadn't started the thread, you have just done so.
  27. Quite late to the show.

Let's not end the thread yet. :)
Sorry about the late entry. For those who read this week's Monday in Nature:
This is the blue heron immediately after he dropped the fish back into the water. The heron then flew away hungry.
    Nikon D750 with 200-500mm/f5.6 zoom @ 460mm.
  34. Also late to the show...........
