  1. Important: please keep your image under 700 pixels on the longest side for in-line viewing, and please keep the FILE SIZE UNDER 300kb. Note that this includes photos hosted off-site (at Flickr, Photobucket, your own site, etc).

Are you new to this thread? The general guidelines for these Wednesday threads are right here: Our forum moderators are still allowing up to three images per week, so if you've got the photographic trifecta, use it!
A good and peaceful Wednesday to all you Nikon People. These couple of weeks leading up to the holidays are simply always too, too stressing for everyone. I'm still sticking with my own approach from last week - to savor simple things, and get a few photos of them when they strike me. The nice little slice of Americana that is a local seasonal horse parade brought out lots of people wanting to enjoy something simple (and smelling slightly of animals!). What basic stuff of life around you caught your eye and lens this week? Share!
  2. And in keeping with normal small-town life, just another guy walking his dogs down main street.
  3. Greeting to everybody! I am sticking to my favorite subject -- my dog, this time with his new toy.

Outside of the Swatch store in Central, Hong Kong, we saw this model dressed in a gold bodysuit promoting the watches. Notice that she had one watch on each wrist.

Peninsula Hotel at night. Nikon D800E with 17-35mm/f2.8 AF-S at 17mm.
  8. Why do some photos get under your skin for no reason you can find, and even if they do things (like lines leading out of the frame) they're not supposed to? This does for me. Pen yr Oleu Wen.
  9. Attachment here...
  10. One more from a few weeks ago...
  11. This is my friend, Michelle Mullen, last week during taping for an upcoming United States Bowling Congress instructional DVD. Michelle is one of the world's top coaches.

  20. [IMG]Nothing recent. This is a water reflection taken late this summer (early Fall) the yellow represents some black-eye susan flowers. Wishing everyone good health, a merry Christmas and comfort to those who mourn.
  21. Nikon V1 with kit lens
  22. While starting to prepare dinner the other night, I was peeling a piece of ginger when I paused for a moment and saw a bear-like shape emerge. It reminded me that playfulness is a wonderful antidote to stress.
  23. We saw this on a recent hike. Still not sure what it is...
    Santa Frog??? (Nikon D600)
  24. Here is mine for the week. Enjoy. Nikon D700 + Voigtlander 28mm
  25. Here is mine for the week. Enjoy. Sorry about the double post for some reason the picture insert did not work for me.
  26. A beautiful male Eastern Bluebird taken this summer.
  27. The Gifford Farm, a Mormon settlement built in 1908 in Capitol Reef National Park in Utah. Back when life was a lot simpler.

  29. Happy Wednesday everyone! Lovely pictures as always.
Here is another picture of the solitary tree near Stone Cross in East Sussex which featured in my posts last week. This time the post processing is better......
  30. Hi all. Mine is a shot in the light tent at home. Enjoy...
  31. [IMG] Shot close to a river bank in Laprairie. The shape of the sun looks a bit odd but I can assure that I did nothing to make it look like that.
  32. A few photos from the 40th annual Christmas Parade in Baltimore's Hampden neighborhood.
  33. That would be "Stilts" on the last one
  34. This young man is enjoying the applause after bringing down the house with a song and dance number at the reviewing stand.
  35. Clouds and trees outside the window this morning.
  36. Sorry, no luck with photo uploads today!
  37. Kansas City Plaza Christmas lights
  38. This past Saturday marked the end of 2012 youth football season. My son's team trekked north to play a club from MD in Under Armour's GridIron 365 tournament. It was a competitive, well-played game by both teams, unfortunately we came up on the short side 24-20...
    D4 + AF-S 300, ISO 12800, 1/800s @ f/2.8
  39. As an aside, our club plays with a managed age/weight matrix. The club from MD plays unlimited weight. The gentleman here (#75) was a 13 year-old who stood 6'4" tall and tipped the scale at over 300 lbs. Nonetheless, our kids played fearlessly (it's not the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog...)
  40. I am scanning my films and think I should post something, though it is a little bit late. This is my daughter trying to fly a kit, but both of us didn't know how to get it to the sky. It seemed I should have used my D200, unfortuntely I sold all of my AF lens long before.
  41. Very late :)
  42. I am late too.
Hermosa Beach Christmas tree. Shot last week. Long exposure 30s, just added text in PS.
    Happy Holidays to everyone

  44. Wenshu,
Your daughter is doing exactly what it takes to get a kite into the sky.
When my youngest son was about your daughters age he was running with his kite trying to get it into the air and he fell breaking his arm. Probably the only kid who ever broke his arm while flying a kite. :))
  45. I spent most of the day yesterday in the Perry County, Ohio courthouse. Luckily for me, I was working on a server in the Clerk of Court's office. As usual I had my D300 with me. The picture is taken in the Perry County, Ohio Court of Common Pleas. This is handheld. No flash of any kind. Directly behind me is a large stained glass window facing south, causing all kinds of mayhem with the lighting.
  46. Stay warm & cozy this holiday season!
