This past Saturday marked the end of 2012 youth football season. My son's team trekked north to play a club from MD in Under Armour's GridIron 365 tournament. It was a competitive, well-played game by both teams, unfortunately we came up on the short side 24-20...

As an aside, our club plays with a managed age/weight matrix. The club from MD plays unlimited weight. The gentleman here (#75) was a 13 year-old who stood 6'4" tall and tipped the scale at over 300 lbs. Nonetheless, our kids played fearlessly (it's not the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog...)

00b98s-508977684.jpg.3277f97bb051041e402c6a21314aeac1.jpg

I am scanning my films and think I should post something, though it is a little bit late. This is my daughter trying to fly a kit, but both of us didn't know how to get it to the sky. It seemed I should have used my D200, unfortuntely I sold all of my AF lens long before.

00b9BO-509023584.jpg.f23a0100d87475c3a6ad9ae946501534.jpg

Wenshu,
Your daughter is doing exactly what it takes to get a kite into the sky.
When my youngest son was about your daughters age he was running with his kite trying to get it into the air and he fell breaking his arm. Probably the only kid who ever broke his arm while flying a kite. :-))

I spent most of the day yesterday in the Perry County, Ohio courthouse. Luckily for me, I was working on a server in the Clerk of Court's office. As usual I had my D300 with me. The picture is taken in the Perry County, Ohio Court of Common Pleas. This is handheld. No flash of any kind. Directly behind me is a large stained glass window facing south, causing all kinds of mayhem with the lighting.

00b9O8-509209584.jpg.f8f650a73e0ec2b8075e0f1efbaa9423.jpg
