Bill J Boyd Posted April 19, 2019 Share Posted April 19, 2019 A Great Horned Owl has nested for 9-consecutive years in planter at entrance to Lady Bird Wildflower Center in Austin. I should have noticed the difference. However don't know just what it is - could indeed be a Gadwall - reference photos seem very close, and Montana is in their breeding range.
