Galleries rolled back?

A few weeks ago, I cleaned my portfolio here and edited it down to just two galleries. Now since this weekend, I suddenly have everything back like before I started cleaning. All the photos I thought I deleted are apparently still there?

Has there been a roll-back to a previous state, or something like that?

Good, that's the correct set. Now, why do I see 625 photos, many of them marked "public" in a public gallery, where I removed the photo prior? I am seeing the wrong portfolio, on different systems and different browsers (so it's not my browser cache).

I am having the same problem. It makes it VERY difficult to organize and keep track if a user cannot permanently delete a file. I uploaded a series of files that duplicatd prior low-res images and then attempted to remove the older files. No luck! On my portfolio page they re-appear within a matter f hours. This is a major PIA that has persisted for quite some time according to the posts complaining about it. I would prefer that bugs in basic operations were fixed prior to new layouts and appearance.

I can delete a photo from a gallery but not from the library. I suppose this is an advantage if you ever decide to put the photo back in a gallery it will be in the same place it originally was. I've read its not easy to rearrange photos in a gallery but maybe thats been fixed.
