Only recently got round to editing (very very minimally) and posting.

  4. From the Womens March in Washington DC. Many women were on duty at metro stations, and these ladies are with the DC Traffic Control. A woman working at the metro station in Shady Grove was leading the crowd in whoops and hollers. It was a great day.

  6. Many of the bleachers and barricades from the inaugural were still in place. Some were dismantled and in piles offering the occasional bit of high ground within the crowd. I was able to get up on a 3 foot high pile of heavy chicken wire fence panels at the corner of 14th and Constitution.

  11. @Igor D - superb image. That's photo of the week quality!
For me it's just a puppy, who is debating whether or not to chew his rawhide or pounce the guy crouching down low in front of him with yet another of those black boxes that go "click".

  15. Maybe the Brits aren't so stuffy after all. Here's a lesbian crosswalk signal near Trafalgar Square in London. I didn't cross, of course, but I sure saw a lot of non-lesbians crossing the street.
