  1. Happy Canon Photo Thursday! Hope everyone had a chance to get some quality photography time this week. You folks know the drill. Post up to three images.

  2. 80D with 100-400 L _MG_5311.jpg IS and 1.4x extender (the first version). Maxed out my focal length! Only the center focus point would work.
  3. We had an active territory war in our North Vancouver yard - 3 hummingbirds were arguing over squatters rights. They are really hard to photograph - I find I need to focus on a spot that is likely to be occupied and wait until one of them flys into it. And even then it's a 1-in-a-bunch shot when you get one of them to hold it for a split-part of a second. This is shot with a Canon 7D, tripod-mounted, Canon 200-400. TV settings to try to get something to hold still. This was 1/1600 at f/5 which is a stretch for DOF.

  4. This is one of "our" deer that lives in our woods. Fortunately for her our woods are a no-hunting zone, but she should tell the turkey in the background that's trying to blend in and not be is almost that time of year that turkeys dread! 244Aa.jpg
