glen_h
It seems that I am on the Freestyle e-mail list, and got a note today about new Bergger film. It does sound interesting. It seems to have both bromide and iodide, it sounds like separate crystals, not co-crystallized, but you can't be sure from the description I read. I wonder if anyone has used it, or thought about using it. It seems reasonably priced, too. -- glen
john_shriver
Verichrome Pan was also a dual-layer film. Gave it great dynamic range and tonality, but at a cost in acutance. Curious how the dual-layer nature of this film will affect acutance, although they market it as very sharp.
Bill Bowes
Hello everyone. An excellent write up of the "new" Bergger Panchro 400 emulsion can be found by Rick Drawbridge over in the "Classic Manual Camera" (CMC) forum. It is on page 3 and titled "Bring on the Bergger". He also has some later pictures with this emulsion in the June 23 & 30 entries for "Film Camera Week" in the same CMC forum. Select these from pg. 1. Don Harpold
I have a roll of 120 loaded in the Rolleiflex I will be giving a try in the next week or so. I will probably use either Rodinal or HC110, I like using HC110.
Mike Gammill
Look forward to seeing your results, Don. I'm still working on my stock of outdated 120 APX 100, which also looks good in HC110.
