  3. Rick, Bill, I also became a Citron lover in the 1970's when I resided in your neck of the woods, Rick. Can't remember the model. I bought it new and at the time was a new introduction to NZ. All I remember is the what it cost me for maintenance, etc., but was nice to raise the body up as I drove those Greytown country roads.
Looks like we need something for the 27th. Zenit EM, Helios-44, Ultra 200, PMK Semi-Stand.

"RED RIGHT RETURNING" (at least in Nth. America).

  4. Rick, Bill. The memory works! It was the Citroen GS Club.

  5. Ah, Tony, I had the Pallas version of the GS Club, in sentry box red... A gem of a car. As you implied, our area has always been a Citroen stronghold. Here's a pic for today, of a rather spectacular new steel sculpture in Greytown. Canon A1 with the Canon 50mm FD SSC f/1.4 lens, Ilford FP4 Plus, PMK Pyro.

  14. Thanks for filling in the 4th, Bill. I meant to have something since Star Wars fans sometimes embrace that date with May the 4th be with you.
For the time travel reference, a quote from the movie, "Journey to the Center of Time"- "A lady of science named White. Traveled much faster than light. She took off one day in a relative way. And arrived the previous night!"
    Great job, everyone. Awesome photos.

  18. Great composition! Lovely tones! What's your secret sauce? :)

  19. Hello everyone. Raghu my developer is Obsidian Aqua (OA), "invented" by Jay Defehr about 10 years ago. It is a simple Cathecol / sodium meta sulfite mix, with sodium carbonate used to "activate" the pyro staining. OA is a DIY. concentrated, long keeping, liquid mix which seems to maximize shadow detail without blowing high lights. Combined with digital scanning, the negatives have a VERY wide range that fit my "modified" Zone System of exposure. During post processing, 2k17-047-003 ces13 bc.jpg I add a very low value of what my software terms "Bandicot" toning. . to me a mix of brown, sepia & selenium. This toning is not in files used to produce prints.
Try OA ! It is cheap, about 2 cents per roll. My "standard" : 1 ml of OA (with the carbonate) @ 13 minutes. A 3 min pre-soak in distilled water is used BEFORE the developer. Water stop & alkaline fixer only. Aloha, Bill
