Supriyo
How about designing a camera that you wear like glasses and to take a picture, just wink ;). No need to take it out of the pocket and risk missing a shot. I think, that would be my dream camera for street photography, and many other genres as well. The google glass was going in that direction, too bad it was scrapped. Most of the time, I feel my head/eyes combination is the best framing device, and by using a camera viewfinder, I am trying to recreate that what I saw with my eyes moments back. Why not eliminate the middle man. Disclaimer: At times, camera viewfinder gives a unique perspective of a scene different from the naked eye view. I do realize that.
PapaTango
Don't put anything around your neck that is not breakaway. An old fashioned watch chain that attaches to a buttonhole works well and is safe. Good idea for most. Not workable for me, as the end of my chain has a 1955 Elgin B.W. Raymond 571 pocket watch on it... I have found that the little strap that came with my Coolpix, slithered around my wrist does the trip. Gary Naka
PT Put in the shirt pocket, it will be like all the cell phones that went swimming in the toilet.
Norma Desmond
How about designing a camera that you wear like glasses and to take a picture, just wink ;). [bEGIN tongue in cheek]Why bother with a camera at all, even worn as a pair of glasses? Maybe someone's working on a chip that can be implanted in my brain that will simply record all that my eyes see. Someday, there will be no difference between reality and a photo of it.[END tongue in cheek] At that point, we can proclaim, "Photography is dead. Long live photography!" We didn't need dialogue. Sandy Vongries
I have found that the little strap that came with my Coolpix, slithered around my wrist does the trip. I use the straps from deceased Canon ELPH cameras on my GXRs - works a treat. Very thin, small, light, but strong. I wanted to capture selective views/moments as opposed to everything that the eye observes though. One more thing, even if one can capture everything at every moment, there's still the confinement effect within a smaller (or larger) frame than the field of vision, so that may still be different than reality :) "Photography is dead. Long live photography!" That means, the successor of photography is already in place. I wonder what that would be. Photographing peoples' minds ?? :D
Sandy Vongries
Possible application of military pilot see & shoot - would take a helmet, though, but the camera, batteries, etc. could be built in. :D
PapaTango
Ummm boys, wasn't this the premise of "Google Glass?" Such a device could also assist in preventing less than optimal outcomes from odd postural issues in restrooms that involve the loss of phones into toilets and urinals. Damn the handcuffs... SNAP! "I See Things..." The FotoFora Community Experience [Link] A new community for creative photographers. Come join us!

PapaTango
I'm sorry Fred, I did not see that. My sincere apologies to all. Please don't tell the teacher... :( I don't know what we silly clickers would do around here without you to keep us all straight... "I See Things..." Damn the handcuffs... SNAP! Public restrooms are great venues for taking interesting photos. Just haven't gathered the courage yet to whip out a phone camera. Not meaning to capture the actual actions though, if you know what I mean ;).
Brad_
It's been a few years since I've gone out for the purpose of making photographs. However, I usually make a couple a day, just being outside walking around and encountering something/someone interesting or a situation that might result in a decent photo. A phone camera supports that mode nicely, always being in my pocket, ready for making a photo. http://citysnaps.net/2015%20Photos/Sidewalk%20bike%20x.jpg Redwood City, California • ©Brad Evans 2018 3 www.citysnaps.net

I just never felt comfy with them, in the sense they are physically awkward for me to handle. Don't know why, everyone else on the planet has no problem.
