Matthew Currie
Speaking of hummingbirds here's an oldie from 2004, taken with a Nikon F, Velvia 100, and a 400/5.6 with a short extension tube. And some luck!
DawsonPointers
A bit late to the party this week. This sea lion was at the pier in Punta del Este when the tall ships were in the harbour. They are called 'los lobos' here, or 'the wolves'. I have yet to find out why. I would call them 'los cerdos del mar' after seeing how many fish guts this one was packing away.
JRCrowe
Not very exciting looking but kind of interesting. It looks like someone dropped a large package of cotton balls, but during the winter workers came through the almond orchard and trimmed the trees. Shortly after a large machine came through and ground up all the branches into shreds. This is a large patch of Mycelium growing on the wood chips that were left behind. Roughly 3x5 feet in size.
