rossb
Back to Arista as I ran out of Delta and Acros 100. I like both films but I think I prefer Delta because the Acros has a curling issue that makes it nearly impossible to get into my Epson film holder. If you put a book on it for a couple days it's ok but I do not usually want to wait around to iron it out. Anyway I shot a couple rolls and I will post up a few. This is just the first one scanned. It was with the 10 stop filter and an orange filter stacked. That is 12 1/3 stops.which I figured would be 14000x. I guess I am right as the exposure was ok. Basically shutter speed (determined without any filters) times 14000 gives you shutter speed in seconds. In bright sun with 400 speed film it is not that long. Most of my shots today were between 4 seconds and 33 seconds. I shot a few pic without filters because I wanted to see the exposure and sharpness compared with a timed exposure and a regular no filter exposure. This shot was about 1/2 stop darker then the no filter shot. I will dial it in after I gain some expeirience. I am going to purchase another 10 stop however. The Tiffen was just the cheapest and I would like one that is multi coated since it's a permanent aspect of my photography.
Mike Gammill
Some scans from my Yashica FX-3 Super 2000. Unless noted, I used the Contax C.Z. 45mm f2.8. Film was Ilford FP4+ in HC110 dilution H. A favorite bakery that is closing soon. Open for business One more. This one with the Sigma 28-105 f4-5.6 zoom at about 35mm setting, orange filter
rick_drawbridge
Well, another storm is moving in so it looks as if this weekend will be a write-off, from a picture-taking perspective. This winter must be shaping up to be one of the wettest on record... Stll, I'm taking the opportunity to finish some images that have accumulated since the beginning of the month, and I'll post a few below. Cameras, lenses etc noted. rick_drawbridge
No self-deprecation justified, Don, those are very nice images indeed, from one of my favourite rangefinders. Sharp, with lovely tones.
Wouter Willemse
Summer here, and yet too little sunny days, while I had a good dash of Perceptol left that probably will expire soon enough. So when we had that one sunny evening, I "ran" out to shoot a roll of FP4. Just some photos nearby, nothing particular.... As it turns out, the combination FP4/Perceptol is about as nice as Delta 100 in that same developer, at least to my eyes (and for sure, I didn't quite get the development times right, so it should be better still). Both with a Leica R6 with Summicron-R 35mm and an orange filter. Same camera and filter, but a Summicron-R 90mm.

greg_nixon2
Went for a walk along the sea front with an Agfa Sillette first model.. Agfa Apotar 45mm f3.5 Pronto Shutter. Allways Sunny 16 when there is sun. In fact I had to go to the fastest shutter speed and the smalleest stop. Any film faster than 100 would require a ND filter. rossb
Arista 400 in 120 film is fun to shoot but I guess to much grain for me. When I finsih off this batch I am moving on. I think I like Delta 100. However next up is HP5 in 120 format and see how it goes. This shot was along the Coast in Carmel, Ca. Lot's of people out walking around. The wind was terrible and I am suprised this shot survived the wind blowing the tripod around.

bruce_z._li2
Trying out two new elements: a Nikon F100 equipped with Sigma Art 50/1.4 lens, and Ilford XP2 Super film, neither I have tried before. It was a blast, and I really like the nice grain of XP2 Super (almost Tri-X like?). I have been using Kodak BW400CN in the past, and never remember seeing Tri-X type of grain. rick_drawbridge
Amazingly, the weather cleared for a few hours this afternoon and I was able to get out and shoot a test roll through the newly-acquired Agra Optima Sensor I showed in the current "What camera(s) are you using this weekend" thread. Here are three samples: Agfa Optima Sensor 1035 with the 40mm Agfa Solitar S f/2.8 lens, Kentmere 100, PMK Pyro. darin_cozine
Havent posted anything for a while. Still having problems with development/scanning. Lots of particulates on the film. And it still looks 'mushy'. Cannot tell if it is the film or scanner. Here are a few from my Canon IID, with either a Canon 28mm f2.8 or 50mm f1.8 (both screw mount lenses.) Film was Delta 100 developed in Xtol. These were take at 'tree top adventures' in Granlibaken (near Lake Tahoe, CA) "The Twins" Two giant cedar trees. You can see in this first one the problems I am having. One of the bridges goes between them. The bridge is about 15 feet off the ground. That gives you some perspective. I really liked the fore/back of this image. "Windchimes" Yes you have to walk across these. I really like the perspective on this one. The tree on the left is vertical, but as you lok right the trees are more and more slanted.
