de_isaacs
It seems to me (IMHO) that there are two conclusions to be drawn from this trend:
1) None of these weddings played Cisco's "Thong Song"
2) the song - "I like big BVTT$ and I can not Lie" has been overused.
Just my $0.02

Marcus Ian
For the right bride and group of bridesmaids, it might be appropriate, but some (especially the one with black boxes (even on the bride!)) just send a completely inconsistent message - might as well add in the groomsmen and shoot porno *rolling eyes*. For the vast majority though, happily, I think it's a moot point.

I don't think I would be adverse to taking the shot (such as #2 or maybe the last one - NOT black boxes!) if a) the client REALLY wanted it (ie. they requested it, and were adamant about it), and b) it could be staged properly. There is nothing wrong with a bit of 'cheekiness' from a bride and her BFFs but one has to conscious of the message one sends with their work - especially if you watermark your prints!

I could see it being a much better image if say a street vent blew all their dresses up (the Marilyn Monroe thing), and they all had shocked -> naughty grins while trying unsuccessfully to cover their specifically chosen underwear - particular irony is added if the bride has fishnets and the fanciest undies!

Oh, and if there are any young bridesmaids (like the kid in one of the images!) the deals off!
daverhaas
The black boxes one is from a porno movie - you can google the image and find it yourself. Someone else pointed that out on a facebook group and sure enough...

I would hope that during the interview process I would be smart enough to judge if a client is going to want this type of shot, and stop the process at that point.

If we get to the day of and they suggest this shot, I would try to work around it, but barring that - I would require each to show me a valid id proving they are 18+ and if they are not or don't have id - they are not in the shot.

Dave
