  7. For those needing a replacement for the 1.35v PX625 and PX13 mercury batteries, WEIN Products makes one. Their MRB625 is a Zinc/Air dropin replacement. I had to get one for my Canon TX camera. So far, so good.
  8. Tell her, thanks for your service to our country.
  9. When you go to buy, consider KEH camera (KEH.com) as a source. They deal in used cameras and lenses. You can select the condition level - "like new" down to "only good for parts"- that you want to deal with. I have gotten lenses from them and have been satisfied with their service and goods. End of plug.
  10. Thanks for the comments. I don't do any studio photography. I was just curious about using a cellphone for a light meter During my Thanksgiving trip, I saw a gal taking pictures and it looked like she was using her cellphone for a light meter. Didn't think to ask her.
  11. The TX is a variation of the Canon fTb, introduced just before the AE-1. The shutter and aperture are strictly mechanical and you select them as you please, There is a photocell light meter, but it is only for reference. With the AE-1, dead battery, dead camera.
  12. Has anyone tried one of the light meter apps on their cell phone? How has it worked for you and what did or didn't you like about it? My Canon EOS T5 has a builtin light meter, but I'm thinking of something for my Canon AE-1 and TX film cameras. Thanks. Merry Christmas to all.
  13. How about a bottle of Taos Lightning also ?
