Thanks for the compliments.
Just got started with taking butterflies and looking at this initial results (not that it's fantastic), I guess I'm now hooked to them. Can't wait to get more of them. :)

Thanks for both the kind comments. I too, personally like the colours on this photo. Probably should owe the credit to the rich colours provided by Velvia. Unfortunately, this being my first time taking macro shots, I wasn't too careful watching the depth of field. Something that I'll keep in mind the next time I'm out there. Thanks again. :)

Hi,
Thanks for the kind comments. Initially I thought of including the flowers in to show a little of it's environment and also have a better colour balance. But on second thoughts, I guess it does looks a little distracting to me now. Something that I'll have to watch out for the next time I'm shooting butterflies. :)

Excellent shot! Both the flower and bee are wonderfully sharp and nice. Exposure is great too. Only thing that I can say is the wall at the back. Would be perfect if it's something more natural. Nevertheless, it's still a wonderful shot

Hi Robert,
Thanks for the comments. I must admit that I'm still a beginner in the field of macro photography and it's the first time that I was shooting butterflies. I'm still working at it.
The above series of shots was taken in an entire morning at a butterfly park. The flash was attached to the camera. Many thanks again for all the compliments.

Would love some comments/critiques on the shot. Shot was taken
handheld using Nikon F90X and 105mm Micro lens with fill flash in
the morning. What do you think? There are a number of other
butterfly shots in the folder. Which do you think is the better one
among them? Thanks. :)

The photo is taken from the top of a multi-level carpark with a
tripod mounted camera. Any comments/feelings on the shot?

Picture looks wonderful! Brilliant colours that contrast well with each other and great sharpness in the photo. Great piece of work you have here.

Recent photo of a duck flapping it's wing. All comments are welcome.
Thanks.

Photo is taken in the late afternoon (around 4-5pm) at Changi Beach,
Singapore. What do you think? All comments/ratings are welcome.

Great shot! Nice colors and contrast. 'Simple' and yet highly effective. I love it!

Wonderful shot you have here. Really love the powerful colors and the perfect reflection. Well done!

Great job! Simple and yet effective. Nice patterns that you've seen in those sands.

Not too sure if it's my monitor. But it does looks a little dark and difficult to see clearly.
Perhaps lightening up the photo a little might be nice.

A simple picture of a lighthouse taken in San Diego, CA.
Any comments would be much appreciated.

Nice! Isn't this one of the photo outing set up by Photo Art Association of Singapore? Looks kind of familiar.
-
The photo looks washed out. Not too sure if it's caused by the scanning process. It would do well to leave out the branches. Also, the sky is plain and uninteresting and thus would be good to include less of it. Rules of third applies here.

What do you think of the picture. Any reason why do you think the
photo works (or doesn't)? Any comments are welcome.

Took this picture a couple of years back in Langkawi. While I
thought I like it, I wonder what does the rest think. Does the
exposure seems out for a silhouette? All comments are welcome.

Any comments on the photo? The dog was running very fast and I only
managed to catch three shots before it ran off. This was done with a
little panning.

All comments/critiques are welcome. Shot was taken in the late
evening at the Chinese garden. What do you think of the shot and if
there's any particular shot that you like over the others in this
folder?
