I normally process my own B&W but I tried a roll of XP2. Can anyone
recommend a C41 lab on Long Island (NY) that takes care about what it
does and will comply when I ask that the film be cut into strips of 6?
-
I vaguely remember that a previous conversation abot sprays brought up the possibility of increasing Dmax with it. Anybody remember that information?
-
And it's AMAZING what $50-75 will get you in a case (including power supply!) nowadays. Newegg is the best vendor for cases, MB's, drives, etc. Have fun.
-
The benefit would be to have the photo on one (bigger) monitor and the palettes on another (smaller). I just built up a computer to do only PS and once you go to a two-monitor setup you'll never look back.
Also, a second vote for the Matrox. Also get a real fast drive to use as a scratch disk only.

Check out the Mamiya page at www.photogizzmo.com. I almost fell off my chair on their interesting spelling!

Does anyone know of any hope of getting this ability on the 2100/2200? Now black only IS BLACK ONLY, no light black. New driver?
-
Woops, make that "care" not "car". But the former makes sense too due to the lack of public transportation.
-
And don't forget, the proof is NOT in the pudding, the proof of the pudding is in the eating. But I couldn't car less...
-
If I may piggy-back here...
I'm also going to Moab, but taking a connecting flight from Denver to Grand Junction then driving to Moab. Am I correct that this stretch of road should have no problems the last week in April?
Gary - HUGE amount of photo advice here on photo.net about sites in Arches and Canyonlands. Also I found a list of the best times to shoot (not here) at some of the more famous vistas in the Moab area but I didn't bookmark it. I think I found it as a link from a general what-to-do-around-Moab kinda' site. I know it had "photography" in its title on that site.

They test most of their items as if they were appliances with little regard to appearance, uniqueness and other aspects which are less measurable than things like weight, length, power consumption, etc. I think they still rank audio components just by measuring outputs - not by actually LISTENING!
They also have no emotional feel for cars - how a BMW "feels" different from a Nissan or Buick.
But for pure appliances the magazine is a good place to start, if you are not a real afficianado of refrigerators...

Thanks folks, slim it is! I was hoping I'd save some $$. Anyone have one to sell (B&W MRC)? Will accept either 62 or 67mm.
-
Title says it all. I want to get one of the B&W multi-coated
polarizers and need to know if the standard one vignettes at the wide
end. If so I'll get the slim one.
Thanks.

I'm not quite a year into my printer and I've already spent an amount equal to the purchase price in (Epson) ink and (mostly Ilford) paper. And I'm not THAT heavy a user. (AND I'm not complaining - I love the results). They should give the printers away for free to anyone who wants one!
-
From the utilities menu. It's explained in the manual that came with the printer, I think both the paper one and the one that was on the CD with the driver, etc. You DID read the manual, right?

Gee, 5:30 PM EST and no answers. Oh-oh, maybe there ARE no answers!

Tuesday 10:30 AM EST and the link dosen't see to work any more. Any advice?

With yor permission, I'd like to piggy-back on your question. I'm also thinking about getting a D70. Currently, my most frequent lens on my F3 is the 24mm F2.0 AIS that I bought 3 years ago (used) for under $300 USD. With what do I replace that on a D70?
-
Interestingly, my F3 does not have a spring-loaded baffle in the camera. There is actually some vertical play, maybe 50 thou, in the position of the casette. Maybe it was a late modification in the series? I see no sign of my camera ever having had one. So maybe the answer to my original question is "It depends".
-
I seem to remember someone saying recently that you can remove or
attach the F3's motor drive to the camera, while it's loaded with
film, without having a problem with a light leak. Does anyone know if
this is true? I don't want to try it myself!

We'll be taking a one day boat ride, with hikes on the island, the
week between Christmas and New Years. Anyone know if there is a
chance (without a WHOLE lot of effort - I'll be with others,
non-photographers) of any wildlife photography opportunities, like
seals, sea lions, pelicans? I need to know whether I should schlepp
my big glass and monopod.
Any other ideas for good spots for landscape/seascape possibilities
are also welcome!
-
Canoga has a store in NY so they will charge you tax if it's shipped to NY.
If you wait until xxx to buy the camera then it's that many fewer days that you'll not have the camera to use. Would you rather have the camera or the money? That's the question, not how much will the price drop in xxxx days.

I print on my Epson 2200 using only 13" x 19" (Super B) paper. I'm not a slave to standard formats so I print whatever size fits (18 x 13, 13 x 13, 19 x 8, etc.) Prints look great.
-
Absolutely. I scan using a Canon 4000US, process w/Photoshop and print on an Epson 2200. I also use PK Sharpener and noise/grain package whose name escapes me at the moment. I may not have been the best darkroom worker in the word but my output w/the above is better than I did in the past.
-
Just to make it clearer - I'm not talking about the "G" lens.
Is a reconditioned LaCie electron19" blueIV monitor good?
