1.
Hi guys, I got a Minolta X-300 from eBay the other day. It appears to be working fine in general and doesn't seem overly worn.

However, the MC coupler is slow to respond. When stopping a lens from f/22 down to f/2.8 (or widest available) it can often get stuck halfway and won't snap back to the widest aperture. Is there anything I can do about this? I've tried it with all 3 of my lenses (80-210mm, 35-105mm, 28mm - all with clicky aperture adjusters) and it's a constant issue across all of them. I've just shot a roll of film and now I'm worried that lots of my photos are going to be underexposed. Any advice is muchly appreciated!

Cheers,
Dan

 2.
Hi guys. I bought a Sakari 80-210mm f4.5 (constant) from a certain well-known auction site for £12 (~$17) in Minolta MD/SR mount. Here's the original listing: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/161960613859?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

I asked about it in the Minolta forum - they said I should ask here as they didn't have any ideas about it. My X300 to mount it to hasn't arrived yet so I've not had a chance to do anything with it yet; does anyone have any ideas about what I can expect from it? It's all metal (so I'm guessing it's an older lens) and also (weirdly) zooms in as you pull the barrel towards you? It feels really solid and well-made, the focus is smooth, iris is snappy and the zoom doesn't trombone either - it's even got a built-in sliding lens hood!

I couldn't find anything at all about it on Google so I thought asking here would be a decent place to start.

Cheers,
Dan

 3.
Note - I have absolutely *no* prior experience whatsoever with film
Hi guys. I've just shot a roll of TMAX p3200 (older style branding) but I'm thinking it must be at *least* 10 years past the expiry date (don't recall seeing one on the box). I've run it through my EOS 50e at ISO 1250 as apparently it'll have lost a lot of its sensitivity, but I have no idea what to do with it now with regards to dev times etc?

I'm a photography student and I'm using this roll almost as a placeholder film so that my teacher can show me how a darkroom room works (so excited!!) so I'm not especially bothered as to the results - if they're a bit wacky or foggy etc. then that's excellent! None of the photos are of anything that *needs* to be saved but I'm interested to see what they might look like.

My teacher has Agfa Rodinal as her developer, that's all I know. Also, in the p3200 documentation, I noticed that it said that a safelight shouldn't be used - is this just a precaution or is it a serious warning?

Cheers,
Dan

 4.
Hi guys, first post here: go easy etc....
I've just picked up a Sakari 80-210mm f4.5 (constant) on eBay for £12 (~$17) shipped. It was described as an SR mount so it'll work on my X300, any ideas about quality though? It was advertised as SR/MC mount.
I can't find anything at all on Google for a 80-210mm f4.5 lens (not even sold by a different manufacturer etc.) so I wondered if anyone here knew anything? Here's the listing (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/161960613859?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT).

Cheers,
Dan
