<p>I recently bought a 500c/m with A12 back and i've shot three rolls so far. Two of them have overlapping frames. Any idea what the problem is? </p>

Also, the camera doesn't always wind to the next frame properly. Is this an issue with the back? With film loading?</p>

<p>I just received my scans and negatives back from a pro lab, and in almost all of the photos (except for the last six) the photos are almost entirely black except for a strip across the top (as in the negatives look blank). Any idea what is causing this? I checked my camera (Nikon FE2) and everything seems to be working fine. I had a roll developed from the same camera about a month ago with no problem. Not sure if it makes any difference, but the last six were taken at f8, and the rest were taken at either f2.8 or f4 (I've checked the apertures on the lens - no problem). <br /> I will link a few examples.</p>

<p>This might be a stupid question, but what would give technically better results: the Canon 5D (full-frame, but only 12mp) or the 60D (1.6 cropped sensor, but 18mp)? </p>

<p>Bethe, I edited the photos even more and noticed the patches looking distinctly pixelated, which makes me think it must be the scanning process. After doing this I also realised this is a problem on all of the images, not just some. I had them done at a pro lab, so I'm pretty disappointed about this. I'll have to try a different one next time. I'll see what I can do about editing them to fix the issue.<br>

Mendel, I have been seriously considering getting my own scanner, it's just hard to pick one and know how much money to invest when I am really very knew to scanning (I have previously processed and made darkroom prints). Any suggestions?<br>

<p>I just got a roll of Kodak Tri-X developed and scanned at a lab, and some of the photos have come back with weird green patches on them. I've tried googling the problem and can't find anything. Is this a problem with the negatives or scans? Can it be fixed? I'll attach an example. Thanks!</p>

<p>I've just bought a Nikon FE2, my first film camera, and I'm looking for the best photo labs in Melbourne. I'll want the rolls developed and scanned. Price is a consideration but if I'm getting what I'm paying for I'm happy to pay more.<br>

At the moment my photos will just be used on my computer, however I'm hoping to start selling prints in the future. Is it worth getting the top quality scans now or would it be better to go the cheaper options until I start getting prints?<br>

I'm also wondering about what I should be looking for in terms of file size, JPEG vs TIF, type of scanner, and what does 16 bit mean? </p>

<p>I've been using a Canon 60D with an 18-135mm lens for a while now, but I've just bought a film SLR (Nikon FE2) and I'm in the process of deciding on a lens. I'm only just learning about crop factor now, and since I'm now switching to a full-frame camera I'd like to clarify something.<br>

Am I correct in saying that the crop factor of the 60D is 1.6, which means that I would get the same field of view at 18mm on the 60D as I would with a 28-29mm on a FX camera? So if I took a photo with both of those cameras at the same place, standing in the same position, they would look the same?</p>
