Interesting photo on that "book" cover. Anyone else notice how high above the guys eye the viewfinder window is positioned?

The guy must be using his third eye to look through the camera.

yep Fred nailed it. You might find a T-90 one on eBay or KEH.com but they are pretty rare now days

simple answer " NO "

OK Dirk nice you get us all worked up with the PORN how about a little plot to go with the pictures.

Give us an idea how the various lenses work with the PEN body and especially with the accessory viewfinder.

I am very interested in how the longer lenses work. Be specific about how the manual focusing is compared to a Canon FD mount body and how quick it is to focus. Also how does the IBIS work with a lens like the 400mm f4.5?
inquiring minds want to know.

Actually Walter there is no reason to modify a Canon or Leica or any other brand lens to work on a Micro 4/3 format camera. Due to the short registration distance of the Micro 4/3 lenses. A simple mount adapter can be used to put most 35mm format lenses on to a Micro 4/3 body and retain infinity focus.

he doesn't have the waist level finder or the speedfinder for the F-1 and F1n or the two waist level finders and the sports finder for the New F1

Very Nice Louis I have a 1951 model III with a Rapid Winder on the bottom and I have the 35mm f1.8 and 50mm f1.8 lenses for it. Both the black and chrome late 50's early 60's era lenses. A pleasure to play with.

If you have a local repair shop you could always run it past them. But before warned taking to long to ask for a refund can mess with your chances of getting one. I would sure look into the broken wire idea Lex suggests.

-

missing paint on a retaining ring most likely nothing to be worried about if you can see it from the front of the lens but not through it, its not in the light path.

Sounds like time for a Clean Lube and Adjustment at your local camera repair shop

So the lens will not turn all the way to infinity? Are you sure this is your lens? ask him to show you the serial number as he does the twisting. I would say if the lens does not go all the way to infinity then there is a possibility the lens has been taken apart and not put back together correctly.
The only other thing I can think of if it was jarred very hard during shipping.
If it will continue to infinity there is a possiblity that the screws under the rubber ring are loose?

Fixed yout title for you RED ROBIN

The winder only uses power when it's winding no other time.

Interesting I happen to have a 'macro auto ring' laying right here on my desk. What are the chances of that?

If the trigger voltage is 6volts or less it is safe to use. It will only work in a manual mode and will not communicate with the body beyond a simple trigger.

I have not tried the lens or lenses. This equipment is far beyond anything I know about photography.
I have four lenses.
The 10823 posted, a

300mm CENTURY TELE-ATHENAR II 812334

CANON CAMERA LENS FD 400mm 1:4.5

and a Canon FL 1200mm 1:11 ssc 11050. Large lens, 24.5" length with the end at 5" diameter.
I will be listing them eventually on ebay but for now, I'm very interested in them. If the bug bites hard enough, I may keep them. I'll keep that option open.
I also acquired 4 suit case type boxes full of equipment with sets of stuff. Again, any information shared would be greatly appreciated.

The FL 1200mm lens will fit into the separate focusing unit you've already described. Once attached, it will be a fully functional very long telephoto lens.
The FD 400/4.5 is totally separate from the other Canon stuff you showed and is a "stand-alone" lens. It will fit on any Canon FD camera (F-1, Ftb, AE-1.......etc.) or FL camera (FT, Pellix, FP.....etc.). It's a great lens too from what I read.
No comment on the 300mm Century tele. It's a third party lens I know nothing about.

These are valuable lenses. Congratulations.
Century Precision Optics made/makes movie lenses and I believe they're now a division of Schneider. I could be wrong on this, but you can get a lot of information by Googling. Check to see if whether it has the same mount as the other two lenses, or if it has a cine camera mount.
It's probably a good lens, but like Jim, I don't know anything about it. It's in good company with the other two, anyway.

Yep a design flaw in the AE-1 the cure is to train yourself not to rub your finger against it.

-

You might have asked this question on the Canon FD forum

-

Call them ask them any shop that has been in business more then 5-10 years has worked on Canon AE-1's they were one of the best selling SLR's of all time.

-

OH MY do not take the top off the camera to do so without the repair manual (of which there really is none) or at the very least the presettings for the shutter and meter in hand you might as well throw the thing in the trash. Very very few good repair techs will touch a camera that has been messed with and the AE-1 is a boobie trap waiting to spring if you take it apart and don't know what you are doing.

That said where are you and your camera located and maybe someone here knows a repair shop close by that can do a Clean Lube and Adjust (60-120.00) which will normally fix any minor problems.
Nothing inside a Canon AE-1 is simple.

The Demi's came with a zippered pouch like case. I have both a Demi S and a Demi EE1.7 and both came with that style pouch. I don't think I have ever seen a hard case for a Demi. but then I could be wrong

These have been talked about quite a bit over the years here and especially in the old YAHOO Canon FD owners group. little if anything is known about them past what has already been mentioned here.
They were available through Canons Pro service and not a normal cataloged item (as I'm sure you guys figured out)
