I made a suggestion in the earlier email about the Rating systems: We should calculate the average rating based only on those who fall withing +/- 1 or 2 Standard deviation of ALL ratings recieved on the photo. This will automatically ignore ALL ratings that on the extreme range.

From what I hear, Ramona Falls are difficult to find. This is an outstanding shot. Good work.

Excellent perspective. This composition captures the building and sky very well.

Agree with the cast comments from others. But, otherwise a nice image.

Excellent photo! Makes a powerful environmental statement!

Besides good colors, this is one of the more unique compositions of the falls that I have seen. Good job.

Excellent image. Great Lighting, Good expsoure. I would have liked to see the castle fill more of the frame.
-
Very nice exposure, but could have used a better composition and perhap more dramatic lighting.

I know this spot...Fabulous Shot!

Beautiful shot of one of my favorite places. Perhaps a slightly overcast day would have help better control some of the highlights in the photo.

Very original composition. Well executed image. I would have liked to see the sky little better. :-)

Beautiful Image

Excellent capture. The tonal range of the image is superb. I wonder what it would look like in color?

Very nicely captured. Have tried cropping just below the tree line? I would try to bring out some of the lost shadow details in the boat.

Thank you all for comment on my photo. This photo at around 8:20 AM on a day with very low humidity and outside temp in low 40s. During the cool nights in Autum, the cold air settle down in the Valley and prevents the mist rising from the rivers and lake from escaping and creates near ideal conditions for warm soft morning light. The sun was located in front of me to the left side just out the image. The exposure was set manually using a spotmeter and the resulting RAW image was converted into 16-bit TIFF using Canon's RAW format converter. The photoshop manipulation was limited to some color balance and curve correction to bring out the shadow details (besides some cropping, sharpening and resizing).

Excellent colors. Great photo...It could have been even better without the houses.

Beautiful lighting. The black background brings out the color of flower really well.
-
Nice tonal gradation in the white background. Did you try off center composition?
