1.
I hope this is the correct forum for this, and not the Casual Photo Conversations, but....
........
So I already have a Canon F1-N that my Father in law purchased new, and gave to me when he passed a few years back. I actually just had it CLA’d a few weeks back. Works perfect and I have a spattering of FD lenses.
Last night on EBay while looking at FD lenses, I spotted numerous F1-N’s. One caught my eye, only because it said “or best offer”. It was buy it now for $250.00, (No lens), or best offer. Condition was Very Good, and the seller said that it was CLA’d last year. $250.00 seemed like a fair price, considering some of the other F1N prices on EBay.

Well, who knows why, but I bid, and made a somewhat low offer, even saying I wanted Free shipping as well. I really did not want it (Just messing around), figuring the seller will most likely say NO.……Well I got it…….So now I have a spare…..

Now back to what I was there for, looking at FD lenses… lol

2. Nice shots as usual. Much better IQ than the Canon FDn 85-300 / 4.5 that you returned....
3. Bill. The b & w photo is my favorite. Nice contrast with the craters. Very nice shots...
4. Too bad about the lens Bill. Do you think it (softness) was just with your lens...or is it inherent to the lens in general....aka, are you going to get another one ?
5. Rick. Happy new year to you as well. Those are some beautiful shots. It makes me want to get a Sony a7 or a Sony nex..
6. Bill. Very nice. The colors are so vivid. Nothing like that in my backyard. Time to break out the seed...or the peanut butter. :)
7.
Thanks. I just saw the affilitation with Roberts. I am looking at an FD lens on the used photo pro web site. It's about 10 % more than the same lens on ebay. To me, the 10% is worth it for a 14day return policy and a 180 day waranty.....The ebay seller does not offer any returns. Tough buying a lens, IMHO, on "pictures" alone .....without the ability to return it....

8. Merry Christmas to you as well Rick.
9. Hi all. Has anybody bought used FD lens and or other gear on the "used photo pro" website? Their prices seems to be competitive with Ebay, and it seems that gear sold, other than in "fair" condition, is covered by a 180 day warranty. That to me is a big plus.... Free shipping as well. Thanks. Gary
10. Good comparison of the 2xa / b. http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/companies/canon/fdresources/fdlenses/extenders.htm
11. Thanks bill. Very nice. Once i get my camera back from a CLA I'll get started using the new lens. Can't wait... :)
12. Bill C. Do you have any shots using the canon 80-200/4.0-L with the 2x-b extender? I just purchased the lens on ebay and am curious as to the results with the extender.
13. I second the F1. I just sent mine out for a CLA...its been about 15 years since i had it last cleaned...Can't wait to get her back..
14. Very nice. One of my favorite FD lens.
