Raoul : You have a nice shot here. Firstly it looks like it has some nice textures and might be better as a colored version Have to see it to know. More importantly in respect of the composition. the focus point ( the Bike ) is dead center of the image. In my view the shor would be better cropped from the top down removing about half of the clouds , and from the right removing the lower ground from the image that would place the focal point in the upper right third and I think would make a far more dynamic composition. The eye would then be led from the lower left to the focal point or from the focal point down to the lower left. Just my thoughts however ~ you did ask ~ Hope it helps, you may get some more clues and alternatives from books on Photographic composition. Rgds. Rick

Michael. I love shots of street art and you've captured great one here. I'm usually over pedantic about perspective but in this case what I might call distortion really adds to the image. Well caught. Rgds. Rick
  18. Aileen : Great Image and love the colors. Is it too tight ~ Probably ~ it may be better if more of the building was shown to give more context to the image and if the perspective was corrected. That said however its talking about an architectural shot which may not be what you intended ~ if it shows what you intended it to show then its fine. Rgds. Rick
  19. Joao : Great Image with a very effective sky. Great as it is but I'd like to see it with the perspective corrected if possible an perhaps cropped to remove the cars on the right. None the less a great image. Rgds. Rick

Frederick ~ Lovely Image with a great sense of depth and great detail in the subject. Can't help thinking though that this may be better cropped in tighter from the Left and Right, almost to a 1 x1 Format. None the less a lovely image. Rgds. Rick

    The Gate House

Ken, Bela, Michael, Alf & Pierre : Thank you for your visits and comments , Very Much Appreciated. Rgds. Rick Pierre. Where I live is often depicted historically as a dull, gloomy and smoky place where sunlight is often lacking, some of that carries through to the images ~ Its one of the reasons I chose to do most of the images in the images in the " Along the Tow path " series in mono as it shows the now decaying Industrial heritage along the canal in that light.
