Taken at Watkin's Glen. Expected more colors. Scene was as gorgeous however. Could not get close the calls as the trail was very well defined and liabilities! Did some editing in Lightroom.

@kmac I don't see anything that points to my gallery. I can only see "my attachments" and nothing there so far. I am thinking that is not the place to see the pictures I have uploaded so far

waterfall photography- focus stacking

Thanks very much. I did photo stacking, masking and managed to get the correct exposure and focus. This I think is the best way. It can be quite a tedious at times to get the masking perfect. That is the only catch. -
A few days ago I could see my previously posted pictures. Now again I don’t see them. I guess it is still in the works

Hi all, I am trying to get focus stacking working for a few of my waterfall pictures. I have taken 2 shots - 1. long exposure to get continuous flow of water and. 2. a short exposure about 30 seconds to get the leaves in sharp focus that were moving due to wind. When I do a standard photo stacking, I lose the continuous water flow. I end up with waterfalls that actually was exposed to just 30 seconds. I want to do focus stacking for the foliage but keep the long exposure effect for the water fall. I am trying to google search, but I did not get good results which gave me pointers. Is there a way to somehow stack layers in such a way that I can get foliage in focus and continuous flow (long exposure) of waterfalls? Appreciate inputs. Thanks Kamala

This seems to be like a “zeta” version:, not beta :-)). my experience with upgrades is that they release when most things are working with few bugs that needs fixing… not sure about this one. Hoping for the best as well

Hi Gregory and Verena, Thank you for the comments. I was imagining the painting as well when I was cleaning up the pictures. Your thought on jet ski is very close. I went whale watching and these are the waves captured at the rear end of fast moving boat using a 100-400 lens. Did not see any whales, so got busy shooting water waves! B/R Kamala
