michaellinder 16,611 Posted September 6, 2022 Kamala, this image and its companion remind me of a program which displayed rogue waves on Lake Erie. If you shot this photo of an ocean wave, although it is well seen and presented, it might be viewed as a bit ordinary. Link to comment
gregverena 340 Posted September 6, 2022 this looks so much like Fukuyama's ocean wave- amazing-and gorgeous. how did you take this? long lens? jet ski? Link to comment
Kamala 384 Posted September 7, 2022 Hi Michael, thank you for your comments. You are visualizing a very grand scene of rogue waves. This is certainly not that. please see my response to Gregory and Verena Link to comment
Kamala 384 Posted September 7, 2022 Hi Gregory and Verena, Thank you for the comments. I was imagining the painting as well when I was cleaning up the pictures. Your thought on jet ski is very close. I went whale watching and these are the waves captured at the rear end of fast moving boat using a 100-400 lens. Did not see any whales, so got busy shooting water waves! B/R Kamala Link to comment

Kamala 384 Posted September 10, 2022 Hi Michael. I always welcome comments from you, I never view it as harsh. You have been a wonderful supporter of my work over the years. I have improved my work with your inputs. Link to comment
peter.s 0 Posted September 24, 2022 Kamala, I love this series of yours. In particular I'm struck by the sharpness of detail and focus. So many photographers recently have gone with the fashion for slow exposures to give the waves a "milky" look. I much prefer your work. Lovely. Link to comment
