  1. I use this picture to show the difference between different format. For me as mostly shoot landscape now, it feels natural to think in horizontal angle. If I have equivalent lenses for "all" format, then it is just the amount of sky that varies between the different format. And the table Jim did show gives a good enough value for equivalent lenses. But, as the picture indicates: I never shoot 6X7..
  2. The fact is that Ed is about right regarding the price drop. I personally bought my CFV50C back new, from a dealer in Scandinavia, when they sold of their stock of backs when it was discontinued. And the price was about half of the original price. Maybe not an official price from HB, butt still the actual price from the dealer! Of course there is newer lenses that are better than my old lenses for my V-system and my 903SWC. I have had an almost complete RZ system and also a AFDlll with many lenses together with some different P1 digibacks. From this system I have printed photos up to 2 meters on the long side with out any problem. Never any complaint from any customer. And the lenses for my V-system is equal to the lenses from the Mamiya systems or better. But I do prefer the signature of this older lenses with 50 MP backs Which is very good for my wallet :) I dread the day when I would need the ultimate resolution..
  3. I dont think it will be cheap! 8 years ago I did change mount on a P45+ from a V-mount to a M-mount for the small fee of 1800€ I have no ide what the cost will be for your P20. But I will not be surprised if it still is around that amount. You have to check with P1 or an agent. Ray
  4. You have a few so select from in Phocus I use the 40 mm Lens for my 38 lens on the 903 SWC. Normally I dont use the distortion compensation for this lens, just for vingeting. Works nicely! I have no experience of the 30 or 40 mm lenses. I decided to go with the SWC instead. Ray
  5. It is a question of personal photographic filosofi, what you do with your equipment. I print, upp to 1 och 2 meter on the long side, so I check my PP at 50% zoom to get a feeling for how it will look printed. And I do mostly landscape photography. If I go to 100% or more, then I see things on screen that I don't see in the print. The beauty of the crop sensor is that I don't use the extreme corners of the lens. SWC 903 <- Link Here you will find a 100 MB file in the .fff format. It is a photo of a brick wall at f11 and iso 800. The photo is unevenly lit, darkest in the left corner. Use the Phocus software with lens correction for a CFI 40 FL, that will take care of a lot of the vingeting. So you can check for your self, if the result is up to your standard. But please state the intended output when you give a judgment. Ray
  6. And it looks like Hasselblad also did not know that, regarding the fact that the SWC is a valid selection in the CFV50C menu, for the body it is mounted to?
  7. I did did not know that, so I am using my 903SWC with a CFV50C..
  8. <p>I have to put my first post somewhere so lets do it here!<br> I am a long time user of Fomadon R09. And the majority of my use of this developer is with units way past best date. Yesterday I did a stand develop of a Shanghai ISO100 together with a roll of Tri-X 400, both 120 film. The R09 has a date of 1 of August 2012 and the Tri-X was a couple of year past prima age.<br> There was no problem! And I have never had any problem that I could blame on the developers age, independent of stand development or "normal" development.<br> So it might be quite some quality issue for different brands? </p> <p> </p>
