  1. You guys are the best, that worked like a charm. The two other rolls of b&w I'd recently scanned were XP2, so that explains why they didn't have an issue even with the ICE turned on.
  2. Having trouble discerning the cause of some smudgy-looking scans. Other rolls of B&W I've scanned in the past couple weeks have looked perfectly fine, but this particular roll looks like it almost has a watercolor effect added. Could it be the negatives? Issue with the processing? Colortek in Boston did the developing, and I've never had an issue with their b&w processing before. Example here, zoom in for a better look:
  3. Hi all! Just picked up a used Mamiya 6 with the 75mm. This is my second Mamiya 6 - sold my first one a couple years back, regretted it immediately, finally snagged another. First couple rolls have been sharp as a tack, very pleased. HOWEVER... ...most of the shots have been focused within 5 or 6 feet. If I'm focusing on anything after 7 feet (2 meters), the horizontal image starts to reverse and go back the way it came (to the right) rather than bring the images into focus together. I haven't noticed anything out of focus on film, but it's obviously making it hard to focus on anything that isn't seven feet or closer. This doesn't seem like the typical Mamiya 6/7 "rangefinder images don't line up at infinity" complaint, as we're talking about fully half of the focus range of the lens being off with the rangefinder. The little black knob that hides the rangefinder screws was haphazardly glued in, which gives me the impression that a non-technician was in there tinkering around. I lost the knob itself, so all that's separating me from those adjustment screws right now is a little piece of black electrical tape... and it's VERY tempting. Should I pump the breaks? I'm assuming I'd be adjusting the right side screw that controls the horizontal image, but I'm not sure what I should be adjusting it for or in what direction. Any thoughts or ideas I would love some insight!
  4. Hi folks! Coming here as a last resort, as I've done exhaustive Google searching on this topic with no luck. A friend of mine came into a Contax N1 SLR. He has some fabulous older Zeiss glass—bayonet-mount I believe—that he was using with a Contax 167 MT. Is there ANY adapter available that would convert these older lenses to an N-mount for use with the N1? Thanks so much!
