1.
Not knowing the language in your contract it's hard to reply. When I was running my wedding business, I had language in my contract that included that the client acknowledged and agreed to a statement that there were no promised results and that intended results were at least partially dependent upon the subjects being photographed. I also had language that limited my liability including any and all damages, attorney costs, and costs of litigation to the sum total amount of fees and deposits. I always did print orders as a separate transaction with a separate sales agreement, that had the same language.
My worst case scenario was realized with one client, which I refunded fully and while they threatened to file suit, the best they could sue for was what they had already paid me. They never followed through.
The Wedding Business is tough. I don't know the language of your contract or what state you are in, but your contract is your shield. I'd wait for their attorney to contact you in your situation but you may want to consider hiring an attorney and having that attorney review your contract to make it iron clad.

  2.
I think it is absolutely critical... photography is nothing more than visual storytelling and facial expression can be such an important part of the story...

  3.
supply and demand... pretty simple... Other lenses do the same job, prime lenses are for those willing to specialize and invest in them... A smaller group for sure...

  4.
I think you have to focus, like other commenters have said, on production and streamlining... Personally, I'd go with a couple of flat rate packages depending upon property size/type then work on your workflow from start to finish to maximize your time...

  5. Point Bonita Lighthouse is an active lighthouse located at Point Bonita at the San Francisco Bay entrance in the Marin Headlands near Sausalito, California. The lens is a fixed, second-order Fresnel lens, purchased from Paris France in 1855. Your thoughts appreciated...
  6. One of the entrances/exits to Yosemite National Park on a lonely fall day... your thoughts appreciated...

    Pear

A very good nude image. The woman in the foreground with the tattoo - the image works well, tonal values look good, and not too explicit. However a distraction is the woman on the right hand side, blurry in the background. My opinion only, it takes away from the image and is a distraction to me. Maybe just an issue of personal taste, but on the whole, I give the image an 8/10. Good Job...

    Beach in November

Very nice color tone, subtle and yet bold. Good use of the rule of 3's as well, I especially like the clouds at the top fo the image and the 3d quality of them.
  13. Very nice treatment of this, it looks to be infared. Love the clouds.

    Dusk at Garrapata

It's a stunning sky, and I don't know if the master image is a vertical orientation, but I think that a horizontal orientation would still give you that beautiful foreground but also showcase the sky a little better. Still just a stunning image...

Excellent reflection image.... very stunning. Is it a dirty mirror in the background that you are using for the reflection?

    Point of Ayr

Well done, nice off center crop, stunning image...
  18. Excellent image! Best part about the painted hills is that as the light changes throughout the day, and seasons change, no two images look the same. Love the wildflower foreground on this pointing at the area I like to call "the two toes". Colors are a nice deep rich rust color. Constructively, the image does seem a little dark, wondering if you punched up the red color just slightly if that might brighten it. All in all, a great image!
