This particular image was taken with Olympus E-5 and Zuiko 300mm F2.8 in RAW format. I used Olympus and Pentax Dslr and only recently switched to Nikon equipment.

Hello Irene! and Thank You for the comments. The Owl was photographed in a dense forest with a limited opportunity for framing the shot with a clear backround.

Thank You for the advice. My usual workflow includes the RAW conversion with Capture One Pro 7 and further refinement with Paint Shop Pro X4. I do most work with contrast and color with the C1 Pro.

Thank You for your comments. I considered naming the images individually, but decided against it. I think that the name seldom adds any meaningful information to the image, and a badly chosen name interfere the viewers own interpretation.

This is beautiful and somewhat different summer image. Colors are unusual and fresh, creating a nice contrast.
