Lincoln Memorial, Washington DC, Southeast corner.

Much photoshopped.

I had to look up oniric and have now added it to my lexicon, though my spell-checker is still confused.

This is a panorama of about a half dozen images stitched with Autopano Pro.

Wonderful image -- beautifully executed.

Simon:
My eye wants to see a little more along the right margin of the frame. Do you have an exposure that includes about 5 more degrees on the right?
A classic subject -- well done.

I understand that you think you actually rule this house...

This is the tunnel between the east and west galleries at the National Art
Gallery in DC.
Heavily post processed.

Tibi: I know and you know you will return...

Sherry: I have spent a lot of time in Zion -- one of my favorite places -- as it is for many photographers. You have brought a truly fresh view to one of the most photographed places on the planet. Thank you so much for sharing.

I have looked at this from the air and have a shot taken many years ago. It is a classic eroded upheaval dome structure -- they kind I studied getting my geology degree -- a joy to see in person. How tough was it to get to on the ground?

Tibi: I wonder how many of us on photo.net have taken a shot from this spot, or further out on the bridge? At some time it would be fun to gather all of them in one portfolio. I think you could spend a year shooting from this location and never take a bad shot. (I guess that is why it is hard to find a parking spot here.). Nice job on the image. Zion is a photographer's nirvana.

Great eye. Original and inspirational!

Hard choice between nature and digital alteration. Heavily photoshopped.
Shot under extremely low light conditions at very high ISO.
-
Low light portrait at ISO 3200

A beta cat that only comes out when the alpha cat is away.

Hugh: I like this a lot. I thoroughly enjoy exploring all of the graphic options digital photography has opened up.
-
More pixel bender

I think the area of focus here is the shadow of the bird, not the bird itself. This is a true original -- something rarely seen on PN or anywhere else.
This is a truly inspirational image!

This cat is a beta cat, but when the alpha cat is gone, she blooms.

The sketchy look is the intended outcome. I use my camera as a digital sketchbook tool.

Thanks, Tim. I live in the area and have both seen and photographed the monuments and sights countless times. I have spent a couple of days in the last two years looking for new points of view, whether in perspective, detail, little seen or appreciated aspects, etc. Thanks for noticing.
