Upheaval Dome

Accepting the theory that Upheaval Dome contains the remnants of asizable meteorite impact, it is as close as you can get to a piecethat came from outer space without leaving the planet.

I have looked at this from the air and have a shot taken many years ago. It is a classic eroded upheaval dome structure -- they kind I studied getting my geology degree -- a joy to see in person. How tough was it to get to on the ground?

Thanks for the visit and interesting info, Virgina John. On the ground, this is an easy hike, maybe 15-20 minutes from the parking lot, well worth the effort.
