    Untitled

a beautiful image. Whites and blues, stripes and strings create an image that seems almost musical.
  3. A very joyful image, enhanced, I think, by the reflection on the pavement, which, as I recall is not a constant feature of the High Line.

this beautiful mix of light, shade and color makes me feel very nostalgic.

Another fine combination of rhythm, color and shade. ed

I very much like the way you have turned these recognizable objects into a pattern. The directionality and cropping give it a strength and the variations in shading give it variety. very nice image. ed

    A woman.

To me this very well composed image conveys a lot about the cultural complexity of Islam that some of us don't often think about. A woman with her head uncovered sitting casually in close proximity to men praying doesn't fit with the usual stereotypes. And a fine photograph gets the viewer to take notice. ed

    Friday best!

Beautiful picture. Beautiful story. It is easy to forget how much images mean to people. ed

For me in a gentle way this picture captures that urban feeling of people living in the same place but looking past each other. Ed

    IMG_0224.JPG

Wonderfully composed fusion of the actual and the virtual. I had to look twice to make it out and then I looked a third time to enjoy it. ed

I can't add much to what has been said other than that I dream of creating a picture this beautiful. ed

    Used to me..?

Beautiful portrait. She seems to be flirting with you! ed
  15. I am always on the look out for pictures of fathers. This one is especially nice because of the pleasure expressed in the boy's posture and the father's [i take him to be a father] facial expression. How far from them were you? Could you have shown the man's legs and the post the boy is standing on?
  16. A very moving image. While you place it in Kiev, it brings to mind as well other places where we hear of displaced people. For some reason my eye keeps going to the boy with his head on mother's shoulder. And thanks for sharing the circumstances in which you took the picture. Ed

    Reflecting

Beautifully composed, elbows to the edge, looking off to the right, I am drawn in and want to know what he is feeling. Ed

    Mom

I think you captured the spirit of life among the long hallways that house so many of us. It seems like it should be one picture in a series on assisted living. Ed

    Footballers Promise

the combination of figure an shadow create an intriguing ambiguity in this image. This is complimented by the second ambiguity between black and white and the almost imperceptible color. The basket seems distracting to me. All the best. emb

    Crushed

I agree with the formal comments of others. For me, however, this picture also has a narrative dimension. Something happened to bring these objects int the relationship they have. For me the power of the image is that it gets me wondering about these objects. Ed

    Paris

I like pictures of people taking pictures. You've managed to get a particularly good one. Well composed, an icon on a screen. Ed

    Conversation

for me the composition and combination of colors gives this street scene a timeless almost abstract quality. I like it. ed

    old man paris street

Wonderfully evocative juxtaposition of the man [who I must have seen when I was last in Paris] and the Cathedral towers. Sometimes a photograph can say so much about a place. I will make it a favorite. Ed
