Greg, when I posted the message there were zero views for the most recent 5 photos. Something is working a little better. I still don't think the view counts are accurate, though, because I have heard from more people than 4 or 5 about each of my Maui photos. Rick

I've posted a few photos recently. People have emailed me comments on them. The counters in photo.net says they've had zero views. Sheesh. C'mon, Greg, it's been what, 10 months? Rick

Site navigation--AAARGH! I decided I'd try this place again after leaving in despair a few months ago. Surely, I thought, some of the bug have been killed. Well, no. My biggest frustration: Once I'm in one of my own galleries, I can't back out (to go to another gallery, for example) without repeatedly using the "Back" button on the browser. The handy navigation window on the left edge of the screen is gone once one is inside a gallery. That was a frustration six months ago, and it still is. Anybody home? Glenn, I see you're posting occasionally, but is anyone fixing anything?

I have recently tried out Flickr and SmugMug, and routinely look at photos from PDML colleagues on a variety of sites. NO, it's NOT my hardware or connection. Photo.net is badly, badly broken, and hope for recovery is fading. Rick

A sign of life! Glen, there are *SO MANY* bugs and usability problems. I've reported a half-dozen, and this is the first response. Is there a better way to report them? Are you all alone there? Will the pace of rebuilding and repair pick up? Rick

One week after posting a notice of a large bug (inability to delete photos from a gallery), the bug persists, and there is no response.

Tried to move photos from my Portfolio to my Lisbon 2016 gallery again. Last time only 20 of 91 got there. This time another 30 of the remainder got there. Inevitably there are duplicates; when I try to delete one I get a red box with this alert: Error com.google.gson.internal.LinkedTreeMap cannot be cast to java.util.HashMap Still more bugs than a dumpster in summer... Another fart: I just transferred, one at a time, 91 photos from my Portfolio to my Lisbon 2016 gallery. Only 20 of them arrived. Sheesh. Rick

There is an important item missing: When I log in I am taken to my Portfolio. I can not find =any= way to get to my galleries. If I click "Gallery" along the left side of the window, I'm invited to create a new gallery, but I can't get to the old ones. BTW, I've reported this problem a few times, both here and in emails to Greg. Rick There have been a lot of reports in a variety of threads about things that don’t work right or important functions that appear to be missing from the new site. I think it would be useful to have a centralized list of the problems found. This might help ensure that the issues of concern to us are not lost among the other comments in all those other threads, and it also might make it easier for the development team to provide feedback on the status of the fixes that are being worked on for particular problems. On this thread, post brief descriptions of issues you have encountered. I will try to keep an updated master list in this opening post so that multiple posts for the same issues aren’t necessary. Please keep the posts limited to bug or omission reports. I’ll be removing posts that are off-topic, but you can post discussions or suggestions on Bug Reports Part 2: the discussion. Comments entered onto the Critique page during the evening of 22Feb disappeared (comments lost but issue solved; won't reoccur) Unknown # of members cannot log onto site due to 403 error: forbidden request (now reported solved on 3/3/17!) Can't see photos in one's own non-public galleries (solved with Library view option) Important information in old database now not accessible: all old messages have disappeared (update: they are in database and will eventually be restored) equipment lists and serial numbers not available (update: they are in database and will be provided) overall gallery comments are gone equipment details (camera & lens type) that were entered with each photo uploaded to portfolio are gone

Thanks, Sandy. Today the Galleries won't even show up. I can see them clicking "Sort Gallery folders," but I can't actually open any of them. This new site is an unmitigated disaster, as far as I am concerned.
