There is no room for improvement! Also curious about the cyan cast.

The sky is a 7/7. I had to rate this photo 6/5 because there wasn't much else in the photo to hold my attention.
P.S. I thought your signiture was an abandoned shopping trolly on the medium sized image!
-
Beautiful textures form and colours. A rare 9/9 from me. (from the thumbnail it almost looks like a mushroom!)
-
This photo was taken from the crowd in one of the large tents at the
God's Kitchen dance music event in the UK. Taken with compact camera
and 400 speed print film.

I like the contrast of the sharpness of the centre with the softness of outer. Well done
-
What is it exactly? Can't quite work it out

I was taking photos in Kew Gardens London. I could feel rain in the
air so I was quickly scuttling off to the glass houses. On my way
there I saw this and got this photo just before the heavens opened.

Amateur photo mags lap up this type of image. Send it in and if it gets printed full page (yes high chance due to portrait format) you should receive a 3 figure sum. Nice photo

You did say "All opinions welcome"! To me it first looked like the monkey's in an office with a window and blinds behind him sitting at at desk with his head down hard at work!

For me there seems to be a lot of foreground with not enough interest in it. Were you trying to pull the viewer in with the fallen tree? For me the tree seems out of place and ends up as the focus of the image. You seemed to have the right idea and elements for a good photo but some how it doesn't really work for me. Keep up the good work.
-
I like the form of the trees. The way the two on the left are leaning into each other. It's a nice point to rest your eyes on after the tree in the foreground. Colours are great as well. It's the type of photo i would take!

Well done - you caught the moment. It's just a shame that the jet blends into the background a bit too much

This is a colour image shot on Provia.

The buttercaup was touching the glass on the lens!!!

I was on a bridge in London Docklands taking stock photos of industrial machinery. I turned around and saw this scene. The scene only lasted for a moment but I had time to grab a few handheld shots.
Luckily I didnt have my usual Velvia loaded but Provia 100F so I got 1/125s at f5.6 with my Canon EF28-105 at the long end.

Canon EOS 50E,
50mm f1.8 with extension tubes,
Velvia,
Taken at f3.5 and about 4 seconds

Make sure you keep the photography up - you've certainly got the right idea. I think this is definitely you're best photo in your portfolio. What makes it is the contrast between the sharp edges and colours of the pattern on the butterfly against the soft colours and edges of the flower. Well done
-
The angle not being quite straight on and the contrast elevates this photo from dead plain into something really quite good.
-
Velvia, exposure time about 15 or 30s. I like the contrast of the
blue strip light on the cars against the overcast sky lit by street
lights.
A little story....
As soon as I got my tripod out security pounced from all
directions. This is private property roared an authoritarian voice.
I never knew British Airways/The Tussauds Group owned a strip of the
London Path. I asked where their ownership of the London Path ended.
The guy scratched his head and pointed other their. I moved my
tripod 10 metres down the path and magically turned from a
photographer committing a heinous crime into a good law abiding
citizen.
