This extra ordinary work caught me very much,since your eyes which are usually magnetizing in your fastastic works, create here something more unique....the first look gives a happy impression,as long i stare at the picture it changes to inquiring look then to sceptical then to "keep away" look...maybe it's in me,but it is extremely beautiful and i think close range pictures like this are more impressive. Excellent capture Tm j. details are very good,considering the fact that the plum is wet and smarmy (slippery?) it is difficult to see more details on the kingfisher after dive... 2x extender will make focus difficult to track fast.I usually reach focus on the splash and then manage to track the bird few meters on flight with my 300 mm and crop camera....( nikon d7100). I hope i didn't misleading and helped even a bit. Many regards! Hanan

Thanks a lot Laura for your comprehensive comment and very very kind words.in fact it is the best comment i've ever received here and truelly enjoyed reading every word,yes I must admit! I was concentrated on water birds at another point,but on the corner of my eye was the hoopoe digging for worms in the grass.not so interesting situation for taking a shot... The dog came in the same direction,sniffing its way twards the bird unaware to it, until both of them were surprised (cute domestic dog,i don't belive it could harm the bird...) I predicted the situation so i stood focused on the bird and begun clicking,unknowing which direction it will fly to escape. I was fortune indeed. There are much better fotographers then me here,probably with better accessability to wildlife as well but everyone has its good moments sometimes and that what makes the challenge. Many regards and appreciations for your wonderful feedback! hanan
